What we collect on this site, why, and what we do with it.
Who we are
Hedgehog Capital is responsible for the personal data described here (the controller). For anything about your data, email hello@hedgehogcapital.ai.
What we collect
When you book a call, we collect your name, email address, and firm. When you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your name, email address, and which emails you want.
When you become a client
Onboarding collects what identity, organisation, and sanctions checks require: identity documents, and details of the people who own and control your organisation, gathered through a verification provider. To bill you, we keep your deposit address and payment records. To measure the performance fee, we receive your account value and the trades your AI placed, and nothing else from your exchange accounts.
Why
To arrange the call you asked for, to send the emails you chose, and, for clients, to meet our legal obligations, provide the service, and bill for it. We do not use your details for anything else, and client data is never used to train our models or shared with other clients.
Who sees it
The Hedgehog Capital team, the providers we use for our calendar, email, identity verification, and payments, and, if you accept analytics cookies, Google, which provides our website analytics. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
How long we keep it
Newsletter and enquiry details: for as long as you are a subscriber or in conversation with us; unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and we will. Client records: for as long as the law requires, including anti-money-laundering rules, and then deleted.
Cookies
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see how people find this site, which pages they read, and roughly where they are, by country and city. Our lawful basis is your consent. Nothing from Google loads until you choose Accept in the cookie banner. If you choose Reject, Google Analytics does not run and no analytics cookies are set.
Google Analytics sets two cookies: _ga, which tells one browser from another, and _ga_ followed by an ID, which keeps track of your visit. Each expires six months after your last visit, unless your browser deletes it sooner. Google uses your IP address to estimate your location and then discards it; Google Analytics does not log or store your IP address. If you have accepted and you send a form, Google Analytics records which page the form was on, but not your name or any other details you enter.
Google provides the service and processes the data for us. It may process it in the United States through Google LLC, which is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension; where the framework does not apply, Google uses standard contractual clauses. We have turned off advertising features, Google signals and data sharing with Google, and we do not link this data to your name or email address, or use it to build a profile of you. Google deletes the detailed, visit-by-visit data 14 months after it is collected; reports that show only totals, such as visits per page, are kept until we delete them. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
We keep your choice in your browser's local storage, as hh-consent, for six months, so we don't ask on every page. If you accept, Google Analytics records only that you accepted and which version of this notice you saw. You can change it at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing stops collection from your device and deletes its analytics cookies; it does not affect what was collected before.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to our use of it, or send it to you or to another organisation in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, as for analytics cookies and the newsletter, you can withdraw it at any time; that does not affect what we did before. Email us and we will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first, by email; we will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commission, the UK data protection regulator (formerly the Information Commissioner's Office), or to the data protection authority where you live or work.
